welcome! i am a children’s writer with a passion for stories that sing to the heart…
From collecting driftwood beside the ocean in Gerroa to swimming in the glorious river at Minnamurra, my childhood was full of self made fantasy and adventure. Oh, and lots and lots of reading.
After travelling around Australia with my husband, a swag and our dog, we settled into life in Valla, on the Mid North Coast.
It was while reading to my children that I became immersed once again in the wonder of children’s literature and dreamed to write my own stories full of enchantment and wonder. I write middle grade fiction with themes of nature, friendship, and adventure.
When I’m not writing, I work with children in a local public school as an SLSO. I really enjoy helping children develop confidence in themselves and a joy for learning and creating.
I love reading books and drinking tea. Lots of tea. I am fascinated by storms, the power and ferocity is awe-inspiring. I like to surround myself in nature, the bush, rainforest and ocean all bring a feeling of calm and belonging over me.
My favourite animals are Australian natives, especially Wombats, Kookaburras & Black Cockatoos.
I usually write from home, accompanied by my little pals Fred & Stormy.
